Fiji Islands

After my year abroad as a au-pair in Australia I started traveling. When I was looking for nice destinations near Australia I came across Fiji. I asked a friend of mine if he wants to join me and then we booked our flights to Nadi. In July our journey started. The flight duration was about 3,5 hours.

Island hopping
![Island](../images/fiji/IMG_4511.jpg)
We were in Fiji for 10 days in total. During our trip we visited different islands. A ferry runs daily from island to island. You can buy a pass for them. The price of the ticket varies depending on the length of validity. The transport worked smoothly.
Nacula

After we landed in Nadi and spent one night there, we started our island hopping. Our first stop was Nacula. I loved this place. For me, this island is the epitome of paradise. We had a little cabin there. The islands are generally so small that there is no supermarket or other shops, mostly only the hotel resort.

The resort on this island was very luxury. We had our own small cabin and the food was amazing. I can definitely recommend Nacula. The Island offers a dreamlike long beach with turquoise blue water and hills reminiscent of Hawaii.

Naviti

Our second stop was Naviti. This island looks very different from Nacula. The water appears significantly greener due to the accumulation of algae. The resort there was also less luxurious but much more homely. The residents and operators offered a program to all guests. For example, they showed us how to crack coconuts.

South Sea Island
On this island we lived in luxury with an ocean view cabin and a small private beach. There was a lot of program on offer. Music in the evening and during the day snorkeling tours and more. Since

Conclusion

Fiji is definitely worth a trip! Although not exactly cheap. Of course it depends on where you are flying from. Of course it was cheaper from Sydney than it would be from Europe. You pay at least 1000 euros. It's still worth it. The small islands are simply breathtaking and absolutely paradisiacal. Perfect for the honeymoon of course!
